I am currently working on the Masterwood Project 309. The disk with parameters was lost and there was no backup or paperwork of the machine. Eventually I came into contact with someone from Turkey who could send me the parameters. The software dates back to the early 90s with MSDOS 5.0. In MSDOS I have retrieved the D-drive and added the parameters on it. Now I have to adjust the parameters that are used to offset the axis and tools. I have already setup a system that reads Gcodes from USB instead of Floppy.
System battery
If the battery is dead you get a notification at startup.
This means the CMOS battery is dead and the bios settings will not be saved.
The masterwood does not have the same cell-battery used in computers today.
So if you do not know what you are looking for, read this first!

Is the battery dead, then you do the following:
Look for a chip in the PC, you are looking for a Motorola mccs146818bm:

You can pull it out of the socket with a screwdriver.
The chip is not sold anymore, so there are alternatives:
- DALLAS DS1287
- DALLAS DS12887A
- MC146818A
- ST MK48T87B-24
It is also possible to open the chip and add a external battery to it. On the internet some people did this and made instructions of it.
When the battery is changed and the machine is turned on, you only have to change the time in the BIOS.
